Film cameras for non-professionals or the magic of making home movies: Pathé Baby and Kodak
Right from the start of the twentieth century, the major companies specializing in manufacturing cameras and projectors popularized small-format film cameras, using narrow-gauge film aimed at an amateur public. 8mm, 9.5mm and 16mm film become an alternative for amateur filmmakers to the professional 35mm system.
