One of the reasons for the longevity of the Cine NIC brand (1931-1974) was the constant obsession with improving and diversifying the models of devices to adapt to the times. An example of this is the sound Cine NIC projector. In 1933, two years after the first patent, the Nicolau brothers presented a "sound supplement", which was coupled with the first NIC model, to imitate the first sound film, which had appeared a few years earlier. This new system made it possible to add sound to NIC films with a small gramophone located at the top of the projector, which was connected to the handle that rotated the film and at the same time rolled the Bakelite disc on which the sound had been recorded. The following year, a Cine NIC Sonoro was already marketed with this system added in the factory. The records that provided the sound for these films were produced in the same NIC factory and the voices were those of radio announcers and dubbing actors of the time.
