The talent and the work of filmmakers have often been violated due to the numerous manipulations that their films have suffered when shown on television. To adapt to this new medium and its commercial pretensions, many films have seen their format mutilated, they have suffered advertising breaks, the black and white original has been coloured, or else the edit has or the soundtrack has been modified.
The aim of this exhibition is to show the risks that a film's integrity may run when it is shown on television and to make people aware that when they watch a film on television, it can be said that they have seen a reproduction of the film, but they have not seen it in the conditions for which it was made: to be screened in a cinema.
