It is a hands-on activity that mixes games, history, and creativity to help children and families learn about the origins of cinema in a fun and easy way.
The Museum of Cinema launches Alicia's Cinema, a new family game for children aged 7 to 12 and their families.
Visitors explore the museum in a fun and interactive way while learning about the origins of cinema and how moving images were first created.
In the game, a girl named Alicia wants to make her own film. Players help her by answering questions and finding objects in the museum. Each discovery helps move the story forward and shows how early cinema tools and techniques were developed.
The activity is designed for families to do on their own. The game materials are given at the museum ticket office, and children and adults work together to explore, observe, and learn.
Alicia's Cinema opens during the museum's 28th anniversary (April 8). It is part of the museum's effort to make learning about culture and cinema fun and easy for everyone.
Alicia is inspired by Alice Guy, one of the first film directors in history, who is often not well known. The illustrations were made by Neus Ponsatí from La Llegendària.
With this new game, the Museum of Cinema offers families a shared experience and a fun way to discover the history of moving images.
