The Cinema Museum has added nearly 200 educational resources to its website, supporting cinema teaching in the classroom and ensuring the continuity of Cinescola’s pedagogical project.
The Cinema Museum has signed an agreement with Cinescola to incorporate almost 200 educational resources on cinema and audiovisual education into its website. The new search tool allows teachers to access pedagogical sheets, activities, and resources, enabling them to select films according to age and topic, and work on values, audiovisual language, and critical thinking in the classroom.
The materials, provided by Cinescola, include information about each film, activity proposals, readings, and supporting texts, as well as the “Contracampo” section, which offers additional tools for interdisciplinary work and debate. With this new tool, the Cinema Museum preserves and continues the Cinescola project, making its educational legacy accessible to everyone in a new digital space.
Cinescola was founded in 2004 as an educational portal dedicated to cinema, with the aim of promoting the use of audiovisual language as a tool for learning and reflection. Over two decades, it has become a reference in the creation of educational resources and teacher training, with a significant presence in the Catalan Countries and several Latin American countries. Facing the retirement of its founders and to ensure the continuity of the project, Cinescola has transferred its collection to the Cinema Museum.
Through this agreement, the Cinema Museum strengthens its commitment to audiovisual education and expands the resources available to teachers under the Education / Teachers section of its website. Each year, the museum welcomes between 21,000 and 24,000 students of all educational levels and offers workshops, visits, screenings, and educational materials to explore cinema as a critical, creative, and exploratory tool.
