The spectator is a key figure in shaping the spectacle and, as an audience, modern society critically transformed their condition. The cinema made him invisible in the darkness of the room, offering him an intense experience, but inviting him to discreet passivity. From very early on, however, cinema made him the protagonist of its plots, both narrative and promotional, that is, both representing him on the screen and making the queues and masses of fans an element of seduction. In this exhibition we delve into the representation of the viewer, screens, photography and other visual arts. A journey through his changing prestige and his growing critical and participatory spirit.
