A different way of seeing Miquel Planchart's stereoscopy
In this exhibition, the artist and photographer Miquel Planchart offers us an exercise in visual eclecticism based on a personal yet daring interpretation in the application of the stereoscopic technique when treating photography. A different experience, where each image is a work in itself, where abstraction and figurativism merge, transporting us to new spaces, dreamlike worlds and landscapes, imprecise faces, surreal compositions.
We propose an immersive tour around thirty-four three-dimensional images created with the application of the stereoscopy technique. The exhibition suggests two readings of the same work: above all, the viewer can see abstract images that represent surreal compositions and dream worlds that remind us of the vision of a kaleidoscope, of fractals generated through software, of a visual macramé, photographic mandala , image mosaic. In a second reading, through the use of 3D glasses, the photographs themselves take on three-dimensional shapes and become figurative language.
The works that make up this work are structured in series that are differentiated from each other. Each series constitutes an independent block in which elements as different as trees, performing arts, architectural elements or ruins are represented.
