From February 18 to March 13, 2005 – Msueu del Cinema
Audio-visual Creation Using Next Generation Technology
ArtFutura has consolidated its reputation as the most important forum in Spain devoted to the social, cultural and artistic implications of phenomena like virtual reality, artificial life and social networks. Its aims are to contribute with a critical perspective to the knowledge of electronic art, and to promote the spread and development of the digital tools with which this new art is being configured. Many of the most important creators in the world associated with electronic art and new technologies have been present at its fifteen editions.
So that the spectator can learn about the current state of the audio-visual creation done with next generation technologies, the Museum of Cinema presents three programmes:
- ArtFutura 2004 (60'): The best 3-D works produced throughout the world in the last twelve months.
- Funnies Futura (56'): Retrospective programme of the best cartoon comedy shorts.
- Imatge Futura I and II (59' + 58'): A large retrospective selection of the best digital animation presented at this festival since 1990.
