Primary school (ages 8 - 10)
You will discover a series of magical toys that will help you understand and experience the movement of images.
In this box, you will find a series of slightly unusual yet very simple devices that allow you to understand and experience the first sequences of animated drawings.
Can I make a bird appear inside a cage if I draw them separately? What are the holes in the zoetrope for? Why do praxinoscope strips have black spaces? Can I see the movement of the phenakistoscope without a mirror? How does the Cine NIC work?
We can explore all these questions by playing with the inventions that made cinema possible! In fact, these optical toys will help us understand and experience the movement of images, unveiling the history of audiovisual spectacles.
