Activity where students will explore the language and expressiveness of silent cinema through its main characters.
Throught the visit to the museum's permanent exhibition, children will discover the fascinating and magical world of the history of audiovisual spectacles that led to the invention of cinema.
During the workshop, we will watch clips from the most well-known Silent Cinema films and discover the most famous actors and actresses of that era.
We will play and experiment with the language of our bodies, and later, we will record a short silent film scene.
Objectives
- Learn the basic aspects and concepts of the evolution from still images to moving images.
- Identify audiovisual spectacles that predate the advent of cinema.
- Learn to respect and appreciate the cultural heritage of the museum.
- Introduce students to silent cinema and its language through Charles Chaplin and his most famous character, Charlot.
- Learn to communicate feelings and situations through body language.
Duration
3 hours (guided visit to the museum and silent cinema workshop).
Price
9 EUR per student (groups of 19 students or more) / 180 EUR per group (groups of fewer than 19 students).
