Painting with Light!

Primary school (ages 10- 12)

We will turn a light source into colored pencils to draw a song. We will investigate how we can record the path of light with a camera.

In order to play with the effects of light, we will work with the two basic elements that define light exposure when taking a photograph: the aperture of the diaphragm and the exposure time.

Once we have experimented with how the camera works, we will choose a song to draw it with light figures. We will create images with colored gels, fluorescent lights, and flashlights, recording them to illustrate what the song tells us.
