Educational resource where participating groups will create a book trailer based on a reading selected by the students.

The book trailer is an audiovisual format designed to encourage the reading of a specific book by creating a trailer that highlights the most interesting images or scenes.

The choice of a reading book is the starting point of this annual project, which focuses on the creation of this audiovisual and ends with its public presentation.

A set of books will be provided for loan to the students who will make the book trailer, along with classroom support in three sessions and teaching materials, including a guide on how to create a book trailer, with theoretical concepts and practical working models.

The idea is for the activity to develop in the classroom until the final product is completed, which will be shared in a joint event.

Objectives

- Encourage reading among secondary school students.

- Promote reading as entertainment.

- Deepen the interpretation of one of the books read in the classroom.

- Transform a book review into an audiovisual script.

- Spread the SMBG and the Museum of Cinema among young people.

- Work on communicative skills (linguistic, audiovisual, artistic, and cultural), methodological (information processing), digital, and literary skills.

Target Audience

From 3rd year of ESO to 1st year of Bachillerato.

Price

55 EUR per group (groups from the city of Girona)

185 EUR per group plus the educator's travel expenses to the school (groups outside of Girona city).
