Camera for 35 mm film It is the first silent camera specially designed for sound film recordings. The metal body of the device completely soundproofs the noise of the internal mechanism in operation, so that, to make close-ups, the microphone could be placed less than one metre from the device, without any background noise being recorded. Two reels of three hundred metres of film are housed inside the device. This camera was manufactured for a long time and improvements were made. For example, in 1936 an external viewfinder was added and after 1945 a reflex version was manufactured. The lens, instantly interchangeable, has a standard mounting that allows the use of lenses of all brands. The Super Parvo Debrie Modèle U derives from a long list of Parvo models from the André Debrie company, which since 1913 became one of the most used cameras in silent films.
