A lightweight small design for 35 mm films, it is an evolution of the Mignon model, manufactured by Bourdereau. The Cinex 1, patented in 1922, was originally intended to be used as a camera, projector and copy shooter and contained two twenty-metre rollers inside the device. A second improved model, the Cinex 2, went on sale with an aluminium housing and also allowed sixty-metre rollers to be adapted with a case placed on the outside of the device. From 1926, this camera was equipped with a handle and a motor controlled by a switch embedded in the inner face of the right handle, thus ensuring perfect autonomy to the operator. This device weighed only five kilograms and the automatic operation facilitated the execution of fast movements, or placing the camera on the ground, in a car, in an aircraft, and still subjects in motion, even at high speeds, without difficulty. For this reason, the Cinex 2 was not only used by amateurs, but also by professionals who wanted to shoot outdoors, outside the studios and in unsuitable conditions.
