A poster with a colorful design and an aesthetic typical of the posters of the 1920s. The author of the poster is Emili Vilà i Gorgoll, (Llagostera, 1887-1967) trained in Barcelona. In 1902 he moved with his family to France, where he began working as an illustrator for the newspaper l'Echo du Nord-est and in 1906 he moved to Paris where he worked as a poster artist for different companies, among them, the producers Gaumont, Paramount and Fox. He became one of the most prominent illustrators of the 1920s in France, where he befriended artists such as Picasso, intellectuals, aristocrats, politicians and film personalities. His birthplace in Llagostera, Casa Franquesa, houses the Museu Vilà, which preserves much of his work.
