Zoetrope mounted on a turned wooden foot: it rotates by means of a wind-up mechanism, which is located under the rotating cylinder. This mechanism is activated by turning a handle located on the side of the device. Profusely decorated, on the outer face of the zoetrope cylinder there are drawn images of iconic places and tourist destinations in ten Belgian cities (Bruges, Brussels, Ghent, Antwerp...). It seems that the manufacturer De Moulin was a builder and/or distributor of pianos in Charleroi (Belgium) from 1914 until 1925. It is a very rare, handcrafted zoetrope.
