This folding book-shaped peep show box could be used for three different functionalities: as a traditional peep show box for viewing, through a lens and a mirror placed at 45 degrees, with the optical views positioned inside. It could also serve as a box for Engelbrecht-type perspective views. And finally, it could also be used as a camera obscura: the mirror at the top captured the outer image and sent it inside the box so that the drawer could copy it on a piece of paper.
