Tabletop camera obscura. The mirror at the top, placed at a 45-degree angle, sends the image back to inside the camera. There the draughtsmen, suitably covered with a dark piece of fabric to create a dark environment, copied the image by hand on paper. This device can also change the opening diameter of the hole or diaphragm through which the light enters, by means of several pieces of cardboard with a hole in the centre, each of which is a different size. In addition, it is fitted with a grid to make it easier for the artist to draw.
