Magic lantern specially designed for scientific or educational projections with high image quality, as it is fitted with a powerful light source and high-performance optics. It was marketed by Eugène Ducretet, a specialist in the construction of physics instruments, in particular in the field of electromagnetism, known for actively contributing to the development of wireless telegraphy. The design and performance of this device are based on the lantern for scientific projections created in 1850 by the prestigious Parisian optician and lantern manufacturer Louis Jules Duboscq.
