One of the variants of shadow theatres was one that, instead of cut-out silhouettes, used a roll of paper where the images were printed in the form of black silhouettes. The roll was set in motion by means of two handles located at the top of the stage, so that it could equally move backward or forward. The theatre is made of wood lined with paper and features a decoration with images of spectators under trees, flags of various countries and a floral border around it. The roll depicts several athletes and sportsmen in motion, in what was meant to be a sports exhibition or parade.
