The European Night of Museums is celebrated every year on the Saturday before International Museum Day. Created in 2005 by the French Ministry of Culture, the European Night of Museums allows visitors to attend museums at night free of charge.

The Cinema Museum takes part in this event with an open house from 7:00 PM to midnight.

We invite you to join us on this special night and discover the ingenious devices that amazed our ancestors; come see the first film projections and be captivated by moving image shows that have inspired audiences throughout the ages. A visit recommended for all ages.

Throughout the permanent exhibition, you will also find several audiovisuals from the series Tomàs Mallol explica su colección, where the most emblematic pieces are presented by Tomàs Mallol himself, the collector who acquired them and whose collection became the foundation of the Cinema Museum.
