In this session, the film historian, critic, and director Esteve Riambau will analyze Vampir Cuadecuc by Pere Portabella (Catalonia, 1970) 66 minutes

Vampir-Cuadecuc (1970) is a documentary on the making of Jesús Franco's El conde Drácula. Portabella removes color and replaces the soundtrack with Carles Santos' sound collages, revealing the mechanisms of narrative cinema. Filmed in 16mm, it marks the shift from Franco-era "new cinemas" to clandestine, oppositional practices.
